to extract SEGY-files from LTO3 tapes

Sometimes I am asked to copy SEGY-data from 400Gb tape cartridge of LTO3 with IBM Ultrium LTO3 tape reader.
# dd if=/dev/st0 of=/tmp/file.sgy bs=512k
